How we handle your data.
Plain English, no small print games. This covers what we collect on this website, why we collect it, and how to get it deleted.
Who we are
Dough Club is a trading name of Club Holdings Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16189236, with its registered office at 533 Wilmslow Road, Manchester, M20 4BA.
Club Holdings Limited runs this website and the pizza shops it describes, and is the data controller for the personal data described below. If you want to talk to us about any of it, email contact@doughclub.co.uk.
What we collect
We keep this deliberately small. There are two things:
- Your first name, last name and email address, if you choose to join The Club through the sign-up form on this site, and your mobile number if you choose to give us one. The number is optional and the form works without it.
- Anonymous usage data, if you accept cookies. This covers which pages you looked at, roughly where in the world you were, and what kind of device you used.
We do not take payments on this website and we never ask for card details here. Ordering happens in a separate app run by our ordering partner, which has its own privacy policy.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are useful. It sets cookies in your browser.
Nothing analytics-related loads until you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you press Decline, the analytics script is never added to the page and no Google cookie is set. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage so we do not have to ask again on every visit.
To change your mind later, clear this site's data in your browser settings. The banner will appear again on your next visit.
The Club sign-up
The sign-up form is provided by TalkBox, our marketing platform. It asks for your first name, your last name and your email address. There is also a mobile number field, which is optional: you can join with just your name and email. When you submit the form, whatever you have entered goes to TalkBox and is stored there so we can send you drop alerts and the occasional members-only offer.
The consent you give on that form covers marketing by email and SMS, and sign-up is for people aged 16 or over. As things stand we send email only, and we are not sending marketing texts at the moment, though the consent covers them and that could change. If you give us a mobile number, that is the number any text would go to. If you leave it blank, this form gives us no number, though TalkBox may already hold one you gave us in a shop or in the ordering app.
We rely on your consent for this marketing. You can opt out at any time: every email and every SMS carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list straight away. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing. It reaches only the suppliers we need to run the site:
- Google, for the analytics described above, and only with your consent.
- TalkBox, for storing your sign-up details and sending the marketing you have consented to.
- Vercel, which hosts this website and keeps short-lived server logs, including your IP address, for security and reliability.
How long we keep it
Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is kept on Google's standard retention setting and is not tied to your name. Hosting logs are short-lived and managed by Vercel.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email contact@doughclub.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
Asking us to do any of this is free, and we will not treat you differently for it.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, or how we have answered a request about it, tell us first. Email contact@doughclub.co.uk and put "data complaint" in the subject line so it gets to the right person.
We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days and give you a full answer within one month. If it is complicated enough to need longer, we will tell you that and explain why.
If you are still unhappy, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection. You can do that at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. Coming to us first does not take away that right, and you do not have to wait for our answer before going to them.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will remove the record.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Anything significant will be flagged on the site itself, not buried here.
